With my recent graduation from the masters program 'Political Architecture: Critical Sustainability' at The Royal Academy of Copenhagen, I am concerned with the politics affecting architecture and vice versa.

In my work with both larger planning and smaller pavilions I draw and speculate along with contemporary theory. Getting wiser in our situated knowledge as architects, is my greatest goal.

This thesis project is an exploration of the architectural and societal opportunities in the current rural-politics of Denmark which condemns and demolishes hundreds of uninhabited buildings every year. By working tactically on three scales, the project provides local citizens in rural Denmark with an insight in their changing environment and tools to reject standardizing urbanisation.

By proposing a series of celebrative deconstructions on the island and municipality of Lolland, the project eyes an opportunity to reshape contracting villages in rural Denmark and to strengthen their communal coherence.
The project is a rejection of the common political devaluation of the 'unproductive' lives and architecture of the remote parts of our welfare-state, and thus proposes a constructive tribute to rural Denmark on three scales:
1. Scale of the Village – a cultural festival is partaking in the demolition of buildings in the village.
2. Scale of the House – a new house is erected of re-used materials.
3. Scale of the region – as the festival (and demolition) travels from one village to another, a new regional network of transformed villages is being created.
