My work is an attempt to explore several representations of the relationship between the visible and represented traces of Energy, resources and habitat. I investigate questions of authorship, relevance and reproduction. My intention is to find several results of imagery research, which are presented in particular arrangements. This concept refers to the close relationship between experimental photography and the the interrelation of constructive models. Now to what I see when I look at my work. The fact that nature remembers by reflecting itself in an absent space, and thus only comes into being as a remembering horizon, can be achieved by a technique I am working on related to climate change. The place, however, is not to be produced like a monument, but to make the problem of remembering itself a place.
What new perspectives, knowledge and solutions can we imagine in a time of accelerating environmental change? How can we adapt to the changes already taking place?
Biogas can play a role here by being used not only for electricity generation but also for heat and fuel production. Biomethane, for example, can be used as a climate-friendly fuel for vehicles. Biogas is a renewable energy source and can replace fossil fuels such as natural gas. It can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, especially in the heat and transport sectors. Linking different sectors such as electricity, heat and transport will become increasingly important in the future. Biogas plants can be used in combination with other renewable energies, such as wind and solar power, to compensate for the fluctuating availability of these energies. What promising changes does this biotechnology offer?
The project seeks pairs of images of plants that explore strategies at the intersection of knowledge and imagination and incorporate the stocks of biogas plants as repositories of ecological knowledge in the face of climate change impacts. The gas storage facilities are seen as a starting point for imagining a utopian future and/or a stimulus for collective action in the face of the precarious state of our planet. The photographs propose an alliance between science and art to effectively explore how applications can lead to more environmentally friendly behavior and ethical food consumption. The work focuses on making visible and communicating the challenges associated with different types of industrialized food production, as well as viable adaptations and alternatives that we want to see grow. The goal is to develop useful artistic strategies and works to explore how I can critically engage with and creatively negotiate ecological futures.
