I'm Sergi Rambla, an architect committed to building a sustainable and resilient future. My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from URV. Currently, I'm expanding my knowledge and skills through the Master's program in Bioconstruction at IEB.

In my professional career, I perform multiple roles that reflect my commitment to sustainability and innovation in architecture. As Technical Director at AUS, a group within the College of Architects of Catalonia,COAC, I lead the 'Decarbonizing Architecture' project, which aims to promote architectural practices that reduce carbon footprint and contribute to mitigating climate change. Additionally, I'm doing architecture internships at SLOW STUDIO, where I have the opportunity to apply my knowledge in a professional and collaborative environment, exploring creative and sustainable solutions in real projects.

My focus is on sustainable architectural design, bioconstruction, and environmentally conscious urban planning. I firmly believe in the importance of integrating nature and culture into the design of the built environment, preserving natural and cultural heritage while fostering innovation and creativity. I'm passionate about exploring new technologies and eco-friendly materials that can improve energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of buildings and cities.

Some of my notable achievements include leading sustainability initiatives within AUS and collaborating on innovative architecture projects at SLOW STUDIO. My involvement in the 'Decarbonizing Architecture' project is particularly rewarding, as we're working to promote the adoption of more responsible and environmentally friendly architectural practices. Additionally, my dedication to the study and application of bioconstruction reflects my commitment to continuous learning and the pursuit of solutions that benefit both people and the planet.

I have completed my degree in Architecture from URV and have taken on the role of Technical Director within the AUS group, to work on the dissemination of the 'Decarbonizing Architecture' project. With the mission of improving the health and well-being of its inhabitants. Therefore, we believe it is necessary to promote better practices within the profession that contribute to this transition, demand legal frameworks consistent with decarbonization goals and financing tools, and raise awareness among society in general. But we will not build this vision of sustainable architecture we need out of nothing, but by influencing the processes that are shaping the future. We will build visions by working on the problems that arise now and at each moment.

'Decarbonizing Architecture' aims to lead the energy transition of building from architecture. The new version of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the New European Bauhaus are the levers that must promote the paradigm shift in the sector.

The objectives of this project are:

- Develop a model of sustainable architecture and urbanism, independent of carbon and non-renewable energy sources.

- Promote efficiency in resource use, seeking to minimize environmental impact and maximize responsible utilization.

- Value and respect cultural and territorial roots, integrating local identity to preserve historical heritage and strengthen the sense of belonging.

- Act as an engine of transformation in society, promoting the adoption of practices and policies that foster more sustainable development.
