I am a product designer who recently graduated and is pursuing a master's degree in emerging futures (at IAAC) because I am strongly interested in the inherent collaboration of different subjects with each other and how research is fundamental to design.
At the moment my interests are focused on studying the dynamics between bodies and how technology interacts with care.
My background varies from a design and industrial background, including engineering, but also art, as I have collaborated on gallery exhibitions connecting with different type of contemporary art and performances.

The project presents the design process of a modelof sustainable and innovative seating, characterised by an original upholstery made from discarded waste materials reassembled with the help of genetic algorithms. The project explores the optimisation of the production process through the automation of the recognition and assembly of scraps of regular and irregular fabrics from industrial textile production.

It then delves into the theme of generative design, as a tool to support design and production, in order to minimise costs, lead times and waste. The exploration of pattern customisation through generative tools is also realised in the form of a configurator made available to the end user.

Specifically, GEN.TXT also explores the development of the interface and user experience of a web application that will allow the end user to configure and
customise the seat.

GENERATIVE TEXTILES is an experimental project that translates through algorithms creativity and manifests itself on the market not as a new product, but as a new approach.
