Unfinished Tor Vergata Scenario

Architectural Design degree, class LM-4 C.U. Overall Mark: 110/110 cum Laude and honorable mention.
The master thesis concerning the reuse of an unfinished building in the Roman countryside (Tor Vergata), University of Ferrara, 2019.
Now he is PhD student for the course “Architecture. Theories and Project” XXXVII cycle at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, 2021.
He studies between Italy and Canada, winning a scholarship at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver.
From 2015 to 2017 he was teaching assistant for the departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Ferrara.
While still a student, he joined in Copenhagen at Bjarke Ingels Group studio. He works for a year on architectural projects in all phases and on the exhibition entitled “Formgiving”, within the Danish Architecture Center-BLOX.
He participates for international competitions and workshops, obtaining various awards, including the Architectural Thesis Award 2020, promoted by Archistart.
Furthermore, he receives the Excellence Award for International Studies from the University of Ferrara.
Selected by Politecnico di Milano for the works of DEEPbrera international workshop (June / November 2016 - honorable mention), he draws up an extension project for the spaces of the Accademia and the enhancement of its historical heritage.
Just graduated, he moves in Paris and working for Dominique Perrault Architecture studio, dealing with architectural design, urban and landscape planning, exhibition design and museography.
The idea is to reuse a big "white elephant", now undisturbed in the Roman countryside, for to improve the quality life of an entire suburban area. The unfinished Olympic stadium by Calatrava in Rome is re-functionalized mainly as a museum dedicated to the sciences, then by hosting in part some research spaces. The transposition of the short scientific documentary "Powers of Ten" by the American architects and designers Charles and Ray Eames becomes the concept for the exhibition path.
It starts at -5.00 m quote, exploring the microscopic reality, the "Jump to -24", the nanoworld and therefore the museum dedicated to the earth, all that we can touch, the natural sciences and the tangible world. Through a continuous promenade around the first pavilion, dedicated to the museum of natural sciences, it is possible to reach the building center, the altitude 0.00, a key space that connects the two poles of the pre-existing building. Named "Aula 0", it will be the center of a large laboratory-museum of scientific research.
Once reached the "0 space" it is possible to continue the exhibition path with the museum-monument en plein air, representation of the "Jump to 10000", now the macroscopic reality. This part is constituted by an elliptical walking at +5.00 m, suspended between sky and earth. The goal will be the creation of a Science City, enhanced by the presence of important institutions on site, the recovery will not only concern the Olympic Stadium but will become a starting point to activate a dynamic urban regeneration for the entire surrounding area.
