TRANS - oikeology
TRANS Oikeology is the first event that ETSAM will hold in collaboration with Tirilab, a Berlin-based organization. This series of events will cover the topic of new forms of rurality in the Mediterranean context. The event has a twofold purpose: first, Tirilab will present its research activity to the academic community of ETSAM, focusing on topics such as trans-disciplinarity that are central to the ETSAM TRANS research group. Second, three Spanish-based initiatives will be presented as case studies, which may illuminate and open up further discussion among the audience and participants at the end of the session.
TRANS Oikeology is intended for all academics, students, and the general public interested in a topic that is particularly relevant within the Mediterranean sphere: how rural reactivation practices are claiming the urgency of rethinking territories beyond the urban. It will also be a presentation of the workshop that will take place next July in Greece with students, ETSAM, and Tirilab members. Thus, it will be an invitation to the attending students to enroll and further participate in this project.
