Architecture & the Media

Architecture & the Media
26 — 27 May 2025

Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, Barcelona, Spain

From 26 to 27 May 2025, the fourth edition of “Architecture & the Media” – organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, Creative Europe, and Labóh – will bring together professionals from across the architecture field. The programme will explore how events, festivals, and awards shape architectural discourse and influence public perception of the discipline. Taking place at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, the event will include an Opening Conversation, 2 Roundtables, 18 Speakers, 1 Workshop, and a Closing Conversation.

Titled “Architecture of the Invisible”, the workshop will be led by Nicolas Guichard and Béatrice Lartigue (Lab212), drawing on their installation “Ombres Blanches”, which visualises wireless network data in public space. With backgrounds in media and interaction design, the Lab212 collective uses new media to create sensory installations exploring space and sound. The workshop will be followed by a roundtable featuring Lab212 in conversation with Atelier Remoto, an architectural office that has collaborated with a wide array of professionals including architects, landscapers, dancers, musicians, curators, and graphic designers.
