Call for Panels: Navigating Informal Education
For the first time, the Living Summer School is excited to announce a conference alongside its annual summer school program. This event aims to bring together European educators and youth workers from diverse academic backgrounds to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences in informal education across various fields.
Academia is slowly becoming less accessible to the outside world, and the spaces and practices of knowledge sharing are rapidly changing. Different formats are emerging, mixing education, experimentation and practice across professions and geographies. From seasonal schools such as spring or winter schools to residencies, hackathons, laboratories, floating universities, construction camps etc.
Invitation for proposals!
As part of this conference, we invite proposals for short articles (maximum 3000 words) that share practices, ideas, challenges, and opportunities in education beyond traditional academia. Authors will be invited to join us in the conference in Kortrijk. Participation in the program is free, and grants will be provided to cover most of the travel and living expenses.
Collaboration with LINA fellows
LINA fellows will be participating in the conference and panel sessions. They will get the opportunity to meet other informal educators and researchers and visit our summer school program, share ideas, opportunities and challenges related to informal education.
