Restart. A fresh look on Modernist housing. Book launch and exhibition
Is it possible to do a restart to housing problem? The exhibition and the accompanying book ask what to do with the modernist housing estates that were massively built across Europe after the IIWW and need a critical revision. There has been a radical shift in architecture from creating something new to dealing with what is already there. The exhibition presents examples of modernist housing complexes from across Europe that have undergone major or minor interventions to improve their spatial quality. LINA fellows have the possibility to join both the programmes of Estonian Museum of Architecture presenting their research in opening seminar of the exhibition and in Architectuul’s digital fellowship programme publishing their work under the umbrella of Public Realm.
